FAQ's

1. What is Global-I?
Global-I
is an organization that works to help improve the standards of living in undeveloped countries by promoting education and through the establishment of sustainable initiatives that will enable the citizens of these countries become self-sufficient. This organization also provides a platform via which the students, staff and faculty of Spelman College can become involved in international discourse and in international affairs in a manner that not only enhances their own scholarship but in a way that accords mutual benefit to them and to the citizens of our world.

2 What is the Little Brown Dress Campaign?
The Brown T-shirt campaign was inspired by the Alex Martin's Little Brown Dress Campaign. The Little Brown Dress Campaign
was a personal initiative started by Martin to "challenge herself to reject the economic system that pushes over-consumption, and the bill of goods that have been sold, especially to women, about what makes a person good, attractive and interesting." 3. Why is Global-I organizing the Brown T-shirt campaign?
Global-I is running the campaign to reflect on, evaluate and internationalize their engagement in the issues of materialism and consumerism in our cosmetic society, overconsumption and social ignorance.

4. Do I have to wear a brown shirt everyday?
Yes,partipants should wear a brown shirt or dress everyday.

5. Am I allowed to accesorize?
Please keep accesories to a minimum. We prefer that participants do not wear make-up or jewelry. Also, please refrain from bright colors. Keep it as "natural" as possible..

6. Can I wear a jacket over my brown T-shirt?
We advise participants to keep the brown T-shirt as the outer layer.
